Ramond Lowrey
Sixth Grade/PE Teacher
He spent his time growing up competing in Cross Country and other similar sports in High School. After Graduating from Fernley High School Mr. Lowrey decided to join the United States Army as a Military Police Officer where we did both Humanitarian operations mission in Haiti in 2010 and deploying to a combat mission training and helping support Afghanistan Police Officers from 2011-2012. During this time, he was stationed in Fort Polk Louisiana where he received training as a Combat Military Police Officer. During his deployment to Afghanistan, he decided to reenlist for an additional 4 more years. From 2013-2016 he was stationed in Schofield Barracks Hawaii. In Scofield Barracks he focused on Police operations and conducted Military Police work into many criminal investigations. In 2016 after spending 8 honorable years in the United States Army decided to finish his time in the United States Army. He went to work for the United States Marine Corps as a Military Police Supervisor doing additional work in youth corrections, tree trimming, and other additional side work. During his time working with the Marine Corps was able to get his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University as well as Military Police Investigations (MPI). In 2024 he decided to follow his lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. He has spent the school year of 2024-2025 teaching High School English 9-12 as an Emergency Substitute teacher working at Coleville High School in California.
Shortly after serving in the United States Army, he met his wife CJ and his son Joshua. They got married and had 2 more little girls named Genevieve and Grace. Ray came to faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in 2022 after hearing a message from 1 Corinthians 11: 28 about “Examining yourself” and realizing he was not a Christian and coming to saving faith shortly after. For the past 4 years Mr. Lowrey has focused on teaching apologetics to adults as well as understanding the connections between Faith and Emotions at his first Church in Coleville but wanted to continue for his family and him to grow in their faith and became members of Grace Community Church in Minden Nevada in 2025. Since coming to faith in Christ, Ray has always had a passion for teaching and his excited to do it within a classroom with the hope of passing on knowledge to kids who are “little Cathedrals” that we should be raising to know and glorify God in their actions and that comes through a saving Faith in knowing the love of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for our sinful natures upon that cross.
